Recently I wanted to upload some simple text document I wrote in [http://libreoffice.org LibreOffice] to my [http://amazon.com/kindle Kindle]. Searching the internet I did find some hints on how to handle this. The easiest way I found however was to simply drag the ODT file into [http://calibre-ebook.com/ Calibre] and then use the convert book function to make a MOBI file out of it. The result was sufficient for my need. There were no fancy styles, pictures or TOCs in the document hence I can't vouch for it when using large and complex files. |

Recently I wanted to upload some simple text document I wrote in LibreOffice to my Kindle. Searching the internet I did find some hints on how to handle this. The easiest way I found however was to simply drag the ODT file into Calibre and then use the convert book function to make a MOBI file out of it. The result was sufficient for my need. There were no fancy styles, pictures or TOCs in the document hence I can't vouch for it when using large and complex files.
